CBSMUN, The Model UN Society of SSCBS is recruiting the first years for its Organizing Committee.
About the society
The Model United Nations Society of the college was establishedin the year 2010 with the motive of promoting MUN-ing in the college andsupporting the MUNers in their participation and preparation in various localand national and international MUNs.
Within a year of its inception the society has organised twovery successful events- The CBSMUNTraining Event 2010 and DUMUN 2010, which holds the uniquedistinction of being the first-ever central University MUN in thecountry. Both these events have been accepted as rolling events and are scheduled to be organised in October this year.
The society, apart fromorganising the two events, also aims to provide support to the existing andbudding MUNers in the college by providing them with regular updates on thevarious MUN events that are taking place throughout the country. Also, itplans to support the MUNers in preparing for these events byorganising regular in-house training programmes and mock MUNs.

About the Organising Committee
The Organizing Committee forms the backbone of the organisation structure of the society. Hence, it requires a great amount of time and involvement on part of the student. Applicants must be highly focused and committed to the cause of the society.
CBSMUN requires people who are hardworking, have excellent organisation and communication skills, and most of all can contribute selflessly to the college in general and to the society in particular.
To apply for the Organizing Committee, it is not mandatory to have previous MUN experience as we will be holding training events from time to time to accustom students with a broad knowledge of what a Model UN Conference is all about. Since CBSMUN is the only society of CBS having a nation-wide reach, students will be provided with opportunities to organize national events and also to participate in the MUNs held world over.
Students who are interested in applying for a position in the Organizing Committee are required to send in their resumes (sample copy attached) along with an application form attached herewith to cbsmun@gmail.com latest by 31 July, 2011, 11:59 p.m. The subject of the mail should be: Name_Class. Any applications not adhering to the specified format will not be considered
